Food is made to order, so everything came out fresh and delicious! Be aware of the size - the kabobs are HUGE! A 1/2 kabob would fill one up well! Highly recommend the chicken kabobs and lamb kabobs! The best in town!
Do note that the wait can be a bit long since all the food is made fresh. We waited about 30 minutes for our food to come out. Worth the wait!
The staff is always wonderful and friendly! The food is ALWAYS FRESH and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! My favorites are the "Combination Dinner", "Lebanese Chicken and Rice" (so good!), and the "Lamb Shish Kabob" (so tender and delicious!). But really EVERYTHING is so fresh and delicious! I highly recommend trying!
Absolutely delicious. The best Lebanese food I’ve had in the U.S., with an exceptional home-cooked food menu (as opposed to more traditional mezza menus) that is not common in other Lebanese and Mediterranean restaurants I’ve visited so far. I had Kousa (stuffed zucchini), Warak Enab (stuffed vine leaves) with a side of yogurt, and a Tabboule salad (it did not look great at first, but the first spoonful made me change my mind. It had an excellently balanced dressing that reflects authentic Tabboule flavors). My friends had Loubye (flat green beans) stew with tomato sauce, rice, and meat (the portions of beef were generous and the flavor was spot-on), and lamb kebab (super juicy and delightful to eat). Not all meat options are Halal, so be sure to inquire about which ones are the Halal options. The Baklava was also unique in that its stuffing had the typical filling for the Maamoul dessert. While it is not identical to the usual Baklava stuffing, it is a rich and unique twist to it. I also did not have the chance to take photos of our platters, I only managed to take a picture of the Tabboule salad (also the first entry), and then I got distracted with the good flavors… It is a must-try for Lebanese people missing home and those curious about “hidden menu” items of Lebanese cuisine.
Absolutely delicious every time. My boyfriend and I heard about this place from his grandma and mom who have been coming here for years. It’s a drive for us but so so so worth it. The tabouli is incredible (no cucumbers!!! Yay!!!). I am a vegetarian and very picky🥲 and there’s a lot of awesome options! Literally want their food for my wedding, if they don’t cater I’ll figure it out. WE LOVE YOU EMILY’S AND STAFF!!! <3
A neighborhood diner serving up authentic and fresh Lebanese food in a friendly atmosphere. Walk in and fiend yourself in a cafe that could be on the streets of Beirut.
The place was packed for lunch on a Friday. After eating here today, I see why. This place serves up authentic meals without Americanizing them.
I got the daily special as it is affordable and offers a selection of tabouli, pita bread, stuffed grape leaves, cabbage, and Kibbi (a baked (or raw) spiced meat specialty). A generous potion of it was served up fresh and hot. The food is not particularly colorful when it comes to presentation. But it is full of the subtle flavors of the Middle East and Mediterranean.
Note this is not fast food. It took just over 20 minutes to get my order. This is a place intended for relaxed conversations with family and friends. I love that there are no distracting TVs.
Indoor dining and take away options. The dining space is small but they put as many tables and chairs in as possible. Family friendly.
Order take away from the counter. If you’re dining in, just sit down at one of the tables.
Free parking is on the street.
If you’re tired of Americana food, give Emily’s a try soon.
I've been coming here for years. I'm loyal and true. But I'm finding my favorite dish has gone VERY BLAND, as the GARLIC ZING is gone. True, I'm a fan of my chicken kabob and when the garlic is gone... It just leaves me flat. Not to mention the times that the pine nuts go missing. I so Loved this place. Not what it used to be. Very sad.
Still the best place! I've been coming to Emily's since I was 5 years old. I use to go to there the most when me and my grandmother would go. I haven't been able to go and get all my favorites for quite some years now and today I went and got all my favorites and they all are the exactly how I remember them. 😊
I'll have to go and get more on Payday!
Thank you Emily's for such amazing food and memories!
baba ghanoush-
Puréed; gives me baby food vibes, Not smashed
Roosted eggplant not very detectable, seems more tahini than eggplant
Bread-
Cold, old, and hard
Chicken noodle soup-
Microwaved soup, lukewarm; warm and cold bites, although it is flavorful
Traditional salad-
Refreshing, was actually very good
Kofta kebab-
Was really good, surprisingly made freshly on the grill after hearing the microwave go off so much.
Chicken kebab-
Same grilled to order and juicy and not overly seasoned.
Rice-
For the chickens rice, it was weird and also microwaved cold with some bites warm.
The rice for the Kofta was very flavorful but sadly MICROWAVED!!
Crack sauce/garlic sauce-
I don’t even know, not like any garlic sauce I’ve had idk what it was sadly.
Heard the microwave go off about 5 or 6 times the hour I spent in there, why would it take an hour when you’re microwaving 70% of the meal? Waitress had a bad attitude seemed like she hated her job sadly. Was really excited to go here to try something that is supposedly famous, I don’t see the hype. I was honestly just so disappointed, the two things that I’d get IF I HAD to come back; the kofta and the crema. Crema was so good, so good!
Filfillah Mediterranean Grill
Olive and Lamb
The restaurants I wish we would have tried and not something that was on TV it’s like they got their fame and stopped caring about cooking, it was $55 for 2 plates and one appetizer with tip added. I’m giving a rate of 2 stars other wise it would have been a 1 star review; because the flavor is there just that microwave and baby mush with crackers just got to me.
